Verdict
ReciMe turns a shared TikTok or Instagram cooking post into a written recipe with a shopping list, which is the job most people download it for. It works when the creator wrote the recipe in the caption, but Android Police found it failed on a video with no text and missed a key step on another, and individual reviewers report dropped ingredients. Free users get 5 AI imports a week, and the trial needs a card up front.

Ratings
What people say
Little independent user discussion turned up beyond the company's own user forum, where users like the app but report imports that silently drop an ingredient and calorie counts that look doubled. On X it is discussed mainly as a TikTok-marketing success story. Store ratings are high (4.73 from 19,562 UK ratings), far warmer than the few user reviews comments found.

“Recime is the biggest, but it’s buggy and the experience is poor.”

Press reviews
- Android Police 2025-11-12
Of four viral recipe apps, ReciMe 'couldn't understand some videos', failed one import outright and missed a crucial step; Flavorish won.
- Smarter Living 2025-11-19
About 95% of imports were spot-on, but TikTok posts without full captions left gaps and the free version is 'pretty limited'.
- Plan to Eat (rival app's blog) 2026-08-31
Import works, but the free cap of 5 imports a week and a card-up-front trial draw steady complaints.

FAQ
Is ReciMe free?
Partly. The free version allows 5 recipe imports a week, with the grocery list, meal planner and cookbooks free. Unlimited imports need ReciMe Plus.
Can ReciMe save recipes from TikTok and Instagram?
Yes, through the share button. It works best when the recipe is written in the caption, and can fail on videos with no text (Android Police).
How do I cancel ReciMe?
Through the App Store or Google Play subscription settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
ReciMe or Samsung Food?
ReciMe is built around saving social-media recipes. Samsung Food is free for website recipes and has a bigger planner, but does not specialise in TikTok and Instagram imports.
