What it does
Gmail has added Google's Gemini AI to the inbox. It can summarise a long email thread at the top, write or polish a reply from a short instruction and suggest quick responses. Paying Google AI subscribers can also ask the inbox plain questions, such as who quoted for a job last year, and get a proofread before sending.
